(7th meeting) UN Forum on Forests, 20th session (UNFF20).
The twentieth session of the UN Forum on Forests (5 -9 May 2025) will focus on accelerating progress towards Global Forest Goals 1, 3, and 5—addressing deforestation, expanding sustainably managed forests, and strengthening forest governance.

- Introduction of Secretariat Note (E/CN.18/2025/5)
- Next Global Forest Goals Report
- Report on the outcome of Global Workshop on capacity building for reporting
- Global core set of forest related indicators

The UN Forum on Forests is a functional commission of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) with universal membership. Since its establishment in 2000, the Forum has set many milestones including the first UN Forest Instrument in 2007, the Global Forest Financing Facilitation Network (GFFFN) in 2015, and adoption of the first UN Strategic Plan for Forests 2030 and its six Global Forest Goals in 2017.
